Allegro® Reformer video series
Demonstrated by Elizabeth Larkam, our Allegro video series will help you achieve the remarkable benefits of Balanced Body's Pilates program: improved strength, flexibility, core control, coordination, balance and posture.
Each Allegro video progresses systematically through six positions: lying down, bridging, all fours, sitting, kneeling and standing. Bonus: each video includes a tutorial segment with detailed instruction on correct form, breathing and alignment to help you get the maximum benefit from your workout. Taught on the Allegro, these workouts can be used with any Reformer.
Allegro® Introductory and Level 1 Workouts
In the 30-minute Introductory Workout, you'll learn basic movements and principles of Balanced Body's Pilates program. Then you'll progress to Level 1, a 50-minute workout that integrates core control, correct breathing, and proper alignment with smooth, continuous movements for all the muscle groups. This total-body workout will leave you feeling energized, yet relaxed. The Set-Up and Safety segment shows you how to use your Allegro safely, and the Educational Video provides detailed instruction. Allegro® Levels 2-6
Each new workout builds on the previous level, adding more complex variations and longer sets along with new exercises. As you progress to more advanced exercises for strength and flexibility, you'll continue to refine your form. Complex movement patterns develop your balance and coordination, while the concentration required improves the mind-body connection. Each Reformer video includes a 30-minute Tutorial for instructors featuring cues and variations. All levels are 50 minutes with an additional 30-minute tutorial.

Allegro® Level 7: Cross Training for Athletes
Elizabeth Larkam has trained many elite athletes, including Olympians and the artists of Cirque du Soleil. She shares her knowledge in this unique Reformer video of advanced Reformer exercises to enhance athletic performance. In addition to improving strength and flexibility, this program makes extensive use of unstable surfaces to fine-tune your proprioception and motor control. Props used in this video (available separately) include: sitting box, foot plate with detachable rotator disks, 12" rotator disks, Flex Ring and 6" x 36" foam roller. Allegro® Levels 8 & 9: Allegro with Foam Rollers and Rotator Discs
Breaking new ground in Reformer repertoire, Elizabeth Larkam combines a moving carriage with unstable surfaces, presenting new challenges to your balance and proprioception. Each level offers 10 exercise categories with variations: Level 8 with the foam roller, and Level 9 with the rotator discs. Lolita Shares Her Pilates Reformer
Lolita San Miguel shares over 100 exercises on each of these two Reformer DVDs. Also included on both: warm-up and breathing exercises plus information on sequencing, rhythmic flow, transitions and more. Reformer I (80 min.) covers Basic and Intermediate Reformer exercises. Reformer II (118 min.) includes advanced moves, variations and props. A Pilates Elder, Lolita is one of just two people certified to teach by Joseph Pilates.

Aerobic Pilates from Retrofit Pilates Rx
Take out the jump board (foot plate), wear your running shoes, add your own hand weights and disco music for an exciting experience of running, jumping and dancing on the Reformer! Barbara Wintroub of Retrofit Pilates Rx leads a workout intended for Pilates instructors who want to add an aerobic workout to their sessions, and physical therapists seeking an Aerobic workout for bone mass building and rehab. This DVD takes you through 10 different exercises, with modifications for all levels: beginning, intermediate (requiring more stabilization and strength) and advanced (more difficult footwork). 45 minutes. Level 2 (25 mins) uses hand weights and adds the Pilates Arc™. It's a cardio workout and sculpting session in one!

Pilates Coach Allegro Reformer I & II
Leslee Bender, founder of The Pilates Coach, leads this creative, contemporary Reformer workout. Designed for beginners and intermediates, Allegro I offers a well-paced, total-body workout of approximately 40 Reformer exercises, including variations. Leslee also explains proper breathing techniques, movement principles, safety guidelines and equipment setup. Allegro II continues the contemporary theme with approximately 60 intermediate to advanced exercises, including variations. Pilates Reformer Foundations I & II
Christine Ruby and Marci Clark of PHI Pilates present two dynamic Reformer workouts for beginning and intermediate levels. In Foundations I (57 minutes), Christine teaches a classic repertoire of Reformer exercises for beginners. As she guides you through each movement, Christine keeps you focused on breathing, elongation and alignment to make your workout as effective as possible. After the workout, Christine and Marci present a special segment on how to perform each exercise correctly, with detailed explanations, demonstrations, do's and don'ts, and cues and teaching tips for fitness instructors.
In Foundations II (57 minutes), Christine introduces a repertoire of intermediate Pilates exercises, as well as more challenging variations on Foundations I exercises. This workout includes exercises using the box. After the workout, Christine and Marci teach a segment detailing correct performance of each exercise. A companion Reformer manual for fitness instructors is also available.
Conditioning Techniques for the Studio Reformer
This Reformer video teaches an extensive repertoire of conditioning exercises for the Studio Reformer. Exercises utilize the Box, Standing Platform and Foot Plate, and include variations for advanced work. The exercise variety makes this program ideal for studio conditioning, clinical applications and home use. This video is highly recommended for dancers and dance teachers. Exercises can be performed on any Reformer. 76 minutes.
